Purex© Natural Elements© Tropical Splash detergent (Review & Giveaway)

As a Purex Insider, I have been asked to introduce you to their newest "kid on the block," Purex© Natural Elements© Tropical Splash detergent.  As its name indicates, this laundry detergent delivers the Bright, White, and Clean you can expect from a Purex detergent and it is made with naturally sourced ingredients.  Natural fragrance extracts and a biodegradable formula that you can use to help promote green cleaning practices.

This detergent is optimized for performance in high efficiency or traditional washing machines.  The out-of-pocket cost to you is about half of that of other leading laundry detergents, too.  The Purex© Natural Elements© brand is their #1 selling line.

I found it did an adequate job of cleaning our clothes.  They were left with a fresh fragrance that I found non-irritating.

You can expect from it.....
  • Hopoallergenic, dye-free formula for sensitive skin
  • Fresh, natural inspired fragrance
  • Packs the cleaning power of Purex with DirtLift Action
GIVEAWAY: Now you have the opportunity to try it,too.  I have two free product coupons to share with Chat With Vera readers, and we'll be choosing two winners using the Rafflecopter entry form below. ENDS April 18 at 12:01 a.m. EDT.  Open only in mainland USA addresses.

  2. Natural is better, right? Less chemicals and additives means less irritation. I would hope so, anyway

    1. Well, Donna, I'm not a chemist or an environmentalist and I definitely don't fall into the "tree-hugger" category, but I believe that everything we can do to protect our water, air, and land should be done when we can do it. But I also realize that man-made components can do a really good job of cleaning surfaces and clothes. But what the man-made components do to the environment is the key. Sometimes it is "man-made" simply out of a combination of safe, natural ingredients and sometimes it is a product that does a great job at what it is designed to do but can cause harm down the line to our world.

So if I can use a product that is "green" or naturally based and if it does a good job, I try to favor those. But since I'm not knowledgeable in the science of environmental protection and manufacture of products, I just have to do the best I can. Let's just say that if it bothers my eyes, nose, or skin, I avoid it. Not good for me? Not good for the environment maybe. If made with "green" products, I say, "Hip, hip, hooray. You've made my day!"

  3. We have children so not only do I not want to expose them to any unnecessary toxic chemicals but I also do not want to leave a legacy of contamination (water seepage from landfills, sewage treatment plants that are unable to remove heavy metals from the sewage) behind for my children's generation to clean up.

  4. Well, I'm not really a "green" person, but I do try, so that counts! :) Anything and everything we can do to make the lives of our children and grandchildren better means alot. So one more green thing in the world is better!

  10. My daughter had very sensitive skin, so that alone is advantageous to our family, but I know it is also a great benefit to our environment to use natural ingredients.

  11. I'm such a "green" person. My friends call me a tree-hugger! I recycle EVERYTHING that I can. I think it's important to use green laundry detergent, 1 being, if it's made from green materials, that means someone's reycling. The other reason is that it's good for your skin as well!

  16. Before going "green", I didn't worry too much about chemicals in products ... whether it was personal body care, detergent or cleaning products. I suffered with skin rashes and headaches. When I rid the chemicals from our home and started using Eco-friendly products, things changed. My skin became healthy and no more headaches. It makes me wonder what else happens when we introduce toxins into our lives. That's why I prefer "green" products ... including laundry detergent! :-)
