  • "A gentle, beautifully illustrated story about loneliness and the quiet kind of friendship that helps kids feel seen." —Book Nerdection
  • "This is a beautiful book that will enchant readers of all ages." —Literary Titan
  • "Values such as empathy and respect are consistently highlighted." —Readers' Favorite
  • "An absolutely beautiful, charming story, full of heart, empathy, and hope." —Goodreads Reader

My thoughts: The illustrations are sweet and tell the story well. The illustrator uses a lot of reds, oranges, and red-browns. Character's expressions, including the dogs, are charming. I think a few line-strokes would add to the illustrations and give more definition.

I really liked the flow of the story's text and the vocabulary used. The story is well structured and did not "read down" to the kids.

The story plot is a sweet "lonely child needs companion and gets a rescue dog for a pet." It doesn't harp on the rescue dog theme, but gently inserts it into the story. The family is a caring, loving, and attentive family which is really good in today's world of torn apart families and society in general. It seems the child is schooled at home since she has a tutor. She gazes out the window at the neighbor children playing and her parents sense her loneliness.

The question one asks is "Why isn't she playing with the other children?" Why is she lonely when there are available children? This is something some children will wonder when having this sweet story read to them and there is no answer provided. Yes, acquiring a rescue dog as a pet and companion to the girl is meritorious but the loneliness is only partially solved since the human need for human companionship is not resolved.

In spite of these questions, this is a sweet story and very well written.

About the book: A heartwarming picture book for ages 4–6.

Nine-year-old Zoe Meadows is the new kid in Ivy Creek. For homeschooled Zoe, every day starts the same: breakfast, then to the living room where Miss Ellis awaits. Only today, Zoe can't focus—not when she notices neighborhood children playing outside, children she's yet to meet. Watching all this unfold, Zoe's parents decide it's time for a companion—the furry kind, to be precise.

Everything changes when Zoe meets Hope at the dog shelter for the first time. The two girls form an inseparable bond over the following months and find in each other the one thing they both craved for a long, long time: a forever friend.

Bird watching and the study of birds - STEM NON-FICTION - book reviews

Spring and Summer is a wonderful time to introduce children to the habit of observation of birds. As birds leave their Winter homes and fly across the World to their Spring and Summer nesting grounds, the opportunity to see a rich variety of unusual birds presents itself. These two children's books introduce the child to the world of these beautiful and fantastic creatures.

Light as a Feather: Fifteen Phenomenal North American Birds by Will Hillenbrand

ISBN: 9780823462551
Hardcover $19.99 USD
Holiday House Publishing

My thoughts:
Though designed and intended for the age 4 to 8 audience, Light as a Feather...  is a book that will captivate older readers - older children and even adults - alike. The illustrations are lovely and present attributes of each bird beautifully with text that adequately provides educational information on the specifics of each bird. These are North American birds so the book will appeal to folks North of the Equator in the Western Hemisphere.

A good amount of information is provided so readers can identify the birds included in this collection and  understand a bit about what they are like physically and in habit.

A sad note that I found throughout the book is the statement that "their populations have steadily decreased over time." Causation of this is probably removal of natural habitats - forests, etc. as well as climate change.

A must have book for the family that treasures our birds and wants their family to know about the different birds that might frequent their backyards.

About the book: Let your curiosity take flight with this nonfiction picture book exploring the world of North American birds from acclaimed author Will Hillenbrand.

Why are feathers so light? Why do woodpeckers drum? What should you do if you find an injured bird? Acclaimed picture book author Will Hillenbrand has the answers that are sure to make readers’ imaginations soar!

In these pages you’ll meet North America’s most fascinating birds, like nature’s drummers (the woodpecker) to its most dynamic dancers (the sandhill crane) and flashiest fliers (the blue jay), and more. Colorful maps explore the bird’s habitats, and bright, accessible infographics invite readers to experience every part of the birds’ world, from the brown pelican’s seven-plus foot wingspan to the light waves that make bluebirds so blue. In this vibrantly-illustrated nonfiction picture book, the sky’s the limit on what there is to learn.

Extreme Birdwatching: Measuring Change on a Galápagos Island (Discovery Chronicles) by Loree Griffin Burns & illustrated by Jamie Green

My thoughts:
Not a book for "back yard birding" but the content of the book will certainly appeal to serious "birders." On one of the unusual Galápagos islands, Daphne Island, a couple of scientists chronicle their study of the Daphne Finches.

Written in an easy flowing and very readable style, the information about the Galápagos Islands, particularly the island of Daphne will captivate readers. While the information in this little book is intended for ages 7 to 10 it will probably appeal to older youths and even adults. It recounts a  simplified version of the scientific study of these birds and the environment.

The illustrations are done in shades of blue which lends interest beyond the typical black and white or simple line drawings often seen in books for this age group. I found the illustrations adequate and serve the purpose of making a non-fiction book even more appealing for young readers.

The generalized conclusion of the decades of study of the finches on Daphne Island is that natural selection is observable for study in the wild as is evolution based on conditions.

This would be a nice book to include in a school or classroom library as well as public libraries. I think, too, that if a child is interested in studies such as this, that they would benefit by having their own copy of the book.

About the book: A treasure trove for science classrooms, citizen scientists, and budding biologists, this “you-are-there” account of a landmark study of wild finches going about their finch-y business captures the scientific process in action.

Daphne is an island. Not one you’d choose for a vacation. There are no sandy beaches, resorts, hotels, or houses. No tall trees to make shade. The steep, rocky sides of a volcanic Galápagos island are not inviting, and most who visit this part of the world sail right past. But Peter and Rosemary Grant are not most people. A husband-and-wife team, the Grants came to this singular place with a singular goal: to study two species of wild finch. For decades, the scientists and their students counted, cataloged, and observed finches on a remote mile-wide island. Through teamwork, painstaking observation—extreme bird-watching, extreme plant study, extreme seed counting—and careful beak measurements, the group of committed scientists proved step-by-step, over forty years, how finch beaks change in response to their environment. Weaving accessible biology and the scientific process into an inspiring conversational narrative, this second title in the Discovery Chronicles series—packed with resources and back matter—concretely honors the value of hard journeys, the vision and ambition behind tedious tasks, and the astonishing power of curiosity.

Disclosure: I received complimentary copies of these books from Candlewick Press and their imprints: MIT Kids Press and Holiday House Publications. Opinions expressed in the review are mine, alone and are freely given.

Music and Silence: The Passion & Protest of Pablo Casals from Eerdmans Young Readers Books

Music and Silence: The Passion and Protest of Pablo Casals (Incredible Lives for Young Readers) by Christy Mihaly & illustrated by Mariona Cabassa

ISBN: 9780802855510
Hardcover $19.99 USD
Eerdmans Young Readers Publications

My thoughts:
I just love for young children to have access to the stories of real people and what they do and where they live. Picture book biographies can set the stage for young children to read non-fiction books as they grow in life. I think picture books are important; and to incorporate these two, picture books and non-fiction, into one tool of reading is a superb method of education. Authors and illustrators of the biographic picture book genre are to be commended and appreciated!

In Music and Silence the author and illustrator have created a beautiful tribute to an extraordinary musician and person. Coming from a musical family, Pablo Casals had the opportunity to hear and learn music at an early age through the skilled hands and care of his own father. His parents had the opportunity to take him for intensive musical education in another city where he stayed until he mastered the cello.

As we read the text of Christy Mihaly as she narrates the story of Pablo, one is drawn by the flow of words and the descriptions as she tells of the worn torn land of Spain, France, and Catalonia. The music performed by Pablo Casals and his cello flowed through the land soothing the misplaced persons, the torn by war hearts, and the saddened souls. Their own country's wars and that of WWII torn the land to pieces and Pablo played on.

Beautifully told and artifully illustrated this story is one to share and should be in every public and school library collection and bookshelves of caring parents.  I highly recommend.

About the book: An inspiring picture book biography of a UN Peace Medal recipient who used his songs—and his silence—to fight fascism, oppression, and violence.

One day in Catalonia, Spain, eleven-year-old Pau Casals was captivated by the cello—setting him on a path toward international fame (as a cellist) and extraordinary courage (as an advocate for social justice).

Playing the cello would take Pau all over the world, performing in palaces, concert halls, even the White House. People called him Pablo Casals now, and he was famous and beloved. But when the events of Spanish Civil War and World War II left his homeland ruled by a dictator, Pablo made a dramatic he would silence his music until Spain was free. Would the world ever hear his cello sing again?

Illustrated in vibrant, joyous color by Catalonian artist Mariona Cabassa, Music and Silence introduces children to a man who was not just a master of the cello, but a remarkable model of sacrifice and artistic protest. After the story, readers can learn more about Pablo Casals through creator notes, historical notes, a timeline, a bibliography, and links to performances and interviews.

Isaiah Johnson and the Big Game from Convergent Children's Books [Review & Giveaway] ✝️

Convergent Children's Books
ISBN: 9780593580660
Hardcover - Ages 3-7

My thoughts:  As school nears closure for another academic year and children's attention turns to summer activities including participating in softball and baseball team sports in their area, excitement builds. Boys and girls alike love the fun and the challenge of this; and they desire praise and support from their parents and family as they, hopefully, hit a home run or baseline hit.

Young Isaiah Johnson is no different. He was excited about this big game with his team's rivals and his part in the game for his team. He was excited, too, because his family was there to see him play. But his father has not yet arrived.

The story goes on with Isaiah's dad showing up a bit late, but he did show. He asks his son's forgiveness for being at work "when he should have been at the game." Personally, I don't think the son needs to forgive the father for being at work instead of the child's ball game. That is, unless the father promised to be there or unless the father deliberately stayed at work when he had free time to be at the game. Not all fathers can get off work to attend a child's ball game, etc. However, it is wonderful when fathers can be available to watch their child in their growing up activities - ball games, recitals, school or church plays.

The lesson taught and learned that day on the ball field is well explained in the story, and it is a lesson well learned. We forgive and we are forgiven. The author explains forgiveness and explains God's forgiveness of us as well as our forgiveness of others. I think, too, that parents need to realize that they, as adults, need to seek their children's forgiveness when the parent's actions need to be acknowledged and forgiven. A good lesson for children and parents is taught in the story.

The illustrations are bright, cheerful, and show family participation. The illustrations are digitally created by Emmanuel Boateng (*see more about artist below).

About the book:  Isaiah Johnson and the Big Game is a thoughtful picture book for ages 3-7 about how we all need forgiveness—even parents—with illustrations by Emmanuel Boateng. Isaiah's baseball team has made it to the championships, and he's up to bat! When his dad shows up late, he apologizes for his absence and asks for Isaiah's forgiveness. But Isaiah is still hurt and isn't sure if he can forgive.

Readers who loved McCaulley's previous titles featuring the Johnsons—Josey Johnson's Hair and the Holy Spirit (a finalist for the Jerry Pinkney Children's Book Award) and Andy Johnson and the March for Justice—will delight in this latest installment about the loving and close-knit family who tackle answering big questions with care, intention, and faith. As a dad who's made plenty of mistakes himself, Esau McCaulley has crafted a biblically-informed story that offers plenty of avenues for discussion on the power of forgiveness.

About the Author: Esau McCaulley is the Jonathan Blanchard Associate Professor of New Testament and Public Theology at Wheaton College and the pastor of All Saints Anglican Church in Naperville, Illinois. He hosts the Esau McCaulley Podcast for Holy Post Media, and is the author of numerous books, including How Far to the Promised Land: One Black Family’s Story of Hope and Survival in the American South, Reading While Black, and the children’s books Josey Johnson’s Hair and the Holy Spirit and Andy Johnson and the March for Justice. A contributing opinion writer for The New York Times, McCaulley has also been published in The Atlantic, The Washington Post, and Christianity Today.

About the Illustrator: Emmanuel Boateng, popularly known as Mind of El, is a Ghanaian self-taught digital artist. He was born and raised in the city of Kumasi in the Ashanti region. Emmanuel has created artwork for a variety of British and African celebrities, but now focuses all his attention on doing illustrations for children's books.

The Amazing Brain Club: God's Special Design For All Brains (Ages 4-8, ZonderKidz Publishing)

ISBN: 9780310178750
Hardcover $17.99 USD
ZonderKidz Publishing - Purchase Here

My thoughts:
This delightfully illustrated children's book about differences in brains and how they function is a positive presentation on acceptance of being neurodiverse in an neuro-ordinary designed world. It seems to me as I read through the text that the focus is primarily on ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) which by definition is short attention span and being hyper active in conduct and performance. This typically creates disorder in the home, classroom, and business scene (once a person is grown). The storyline of The Amazing Brain Club brings acceptance, positivity, and inclusivity to those who have the neurodiverse brain that is ADHD.

Often a person whose brain is different from the ordinary has extraordinary and wonderful talents and attributes. Their minds explore more, are quick to encapsulate ideas into theories and designs, and are able to contribute greatly to our world and society. The key is learning how to function within the scope of society and the design of one's brain differences.

However, acceptance is very much a key to this ability to be a creative, contributing individual instead of a disruptive, confused individual. The "Brain Club" idea is tremendous and grants a wonder and winning quality to being neurodiverse in a neuro-ordinary world.

A good book and written to appeal to ages 4 to 8.

About the book:  Is your child a whirlwind of creativity, bursting with ideas and energy? Do they sometimes struggle in a world that doesn't quite understand their unique brilliance or neurodiversity? The Amazing Brain Club is a picture book to help kids with ADHD discover that their "different" brain isn't a problem—it's a God-given gift—and to help those who interact with them understand how all brains are uniquely made.

This heartwarming picture book from author and educator Lindsey Goff Viducich (Love Does for Kids), celebrates the incredible gifts and talents of children with ADHD (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder), reminding them that they are intentionally and wonderfully made by God—and that all different kinds of minds belong in the Amazing Brain Club! Inside, you’ll discover:
  • Your ADHD Brain Is a Gift: Explore how your child's unique brain wiring and mindset makes them capable of amazing things, from imaginative thinking to creative problem-solving. This book helps them see their differences as strengths.
  • God's Perfect Plan for You: Find out how God lovingly created your child exactly as they are, ADHD and all. This book reinforces the message that they are deeply loved and cherished by God.
  • How to Navigate the Ups and Downs: Learn practical ways to manage the challenges of ADHD and celebrate the joys, empowering your child to thrive in their daily life.

Perfect for neurodiverse families and classrooms, The Amazing Brain Club isn't just for kids with ADHD—it's for everyone! This book helps neurotypical children understand and appreciate the unique perspectives of their siblings, classmates, and friends, fostering empathy and inclusion. It's a beautiful reminder that we all belong in God's family.

WHO HID THE STARS? How Light Pollution Changes Our World

ISBN: 9780802856517
Eerdmans Young Readers $18.99

My thoughts:
Unless a person has been in a completely deserted, unpopulated, people-empty place on this beautiful Earth of ours, they have no idea the beauty, immensity, and brilliance of the night sky populated by stars. We miss so much in our heavily populated area and even in our own small patches of ground we call our home turf. We light our porch lights, our street lamps, and of course the plethora of brilliance that lights up our cities.

We don't take into account the effect these lights have on our own lives. And we certainly don't consider or even understand the effect artificial light has on the natural world - birds, animals, insects, plants. In Who Hid the Stars? the author explains much of what is happening in the natural world when the light that man has engineered invades that darkness of night.

Who Hid the Stars? could prove to be a wake up call to the younger generation to pursue how humans can continue lighting the dark night in a way less harmful to the entirety of the natural world, including humanity. As readers delve into these introductory pages they will begin their journey to understanding the effect of light in the darkness on ourselves as well as the rest of the world around us.

The art is stunning as can be seen from one's first glance of the beautiful cover. Throughout the book, the art and layout is educationally instructive with a precise and artful methodology.

At the back of the book, there is a short glossary as well as tips for reducing the effects of light. I highly recommend this book, and encourage thoughtful families to include it in their libraries and for school and public libraries to include it in their collections.

About the book: A richly illustrated picture book exploring light pollution and its surprising impact on nature and wildlife.

When streetlights outshine the stars, what does that mean for plants, animals, and us? This absorbing nonfiction picture book investigates artificial light and its unexpected impact on our planet. Who Hid the Stars? explores fascinating topics including:
  • How artificial light developed throughout history—from fire to LEDs
  • How city lights interrupt bird migration patterns
  • How streetlights gather insects—and their predators
  • How turtles struggle to hatch without darkness
  • How plant growth changes in artificial light
  • How humans can fight light pollution and stop it from harming nature!
With lush ink, acrylic, and digital illustrations and scientifically sound, yet approachable text, Who Hid the Stars? is a memorable way to explore conservation and biodiversity. This book will ignite children’s curiosity and inspire them to take care of Earth—starting by turning out the lights.

Translated from Italian by Batchelder Award winner Sylvia Notini, Who Hid the Stars? includes a glossary of terms, a further reading list, and a link to the authors’ bibliography. The browsable book is ideal for STEAM units along with Earth Day and World Wildlife Day celebrations.

Part of Eerdmans’ Spectacular STEAM for Curious Readers series. The book’s original edition was shortlisted for Italy’s Premio Piccolo Galileo (Little Galileo Award).

Under the Mistletoe (Small Town Shenanigans #2)

Buy on Amazon: Click Here
Kindle & Paperback available

My thoughts:
I read this book in late Spring rather than during the cold, fire-side reading of Winter and Christmas-time. Still it is a fun read and has just enough "Christmasy" details to remind me to past times and future Christmases.  This is a gentle, sweet story centered in the small town of Cloverdale and in a delightful Inn. And, yes, there is a bit of "room in the Inn" for a stranded stranger.

Characters included a sweet substitute Innkeeper. A visiting handsome "nerdy" stranger. A complaining, frosty old lady stranded in this Christmas scene. A family featuring two sweet kids. And a dog and a chicken. Don't forget the delightfully bossy older ladies who are self-declared investigators.

As the story progresses over the days leading up to Christmas, an attic cleanout results in a story of past friends and love.

I love that these are good people. People of faith. Flawed individuals. Kind individuals.

This is a book (and series of books) that you can read, you can hand to your teen to read, or you can share with your grandmother.

About the book:  Take a trip to Cloverdale Falls in this hilarious Christian rom-com, the second in the Small Town Shenanigans Series. Under the Mistletoe can be read as a standalone or enjoyed in conjunction with Recipe for Love .

He's a nerdy tourist needing a vacation.
She's a bed and breakfast employee with a broken heart.
Love is the last thing they expect to find this Christmas.

Written especially for those who enjoy the following tropes:

  • Fun Rom-com (think Great American Family/Pureflix or Hallmark with faith)
  • Friends to more
  • Opposites
  • He falls first
  • Introvert/Extrovert
  • Small town
  • Christmas
  • Numerous hilarious moments
  • Secondary characters in every generation

Recipe for Love (Small Town Shenanigans #1)

Kindle & Paperback available

My thoughts (originally appeared on Chat With Vera May 2025):
You can count on a Penny Zeller book to be squeaky clean and Christian in scope. This one doesn't disappoint. It's clean. It's cute. It's a sweet rom-com. And it is Christian in scope but not "preachy."

Part of the "Small Town Shenanigans" books by Zeller, this one is nearly unbelievable in that the town - founded by chicken farmers many years hence - has a chicken statue named "Henrietta" standing midtown and the town's current mascot is a pet chicken by the same name. But of course, that just makes it all cuter and more quirky.

Characters that you'll come to love and will laugh at will spring from the pages of this sweet read.

There's a problem, a mystery to solve, and a worrisome situation for the shop owners on main street. How will it be resolved to everyone's satisfaction, and will the sweet budding romance blossom into full bloom?

About the book: Rumors started flying when all of the businesses on Main Street in Cloverdale Falls sold last month. Bakery owner Maisie Carpenter finds herself appointed to uncover the mysterious new owner’s identity, and in the process hopefully allay some of the residents' fears. What happens when she solves the mystery and discovers the man connected with purchasing the businesses is the very man she has recently fallen in love with?

Take a trip Cloverdale Falls in this hilarious Christian rom-com, the second in the Small Town Shenanigans Series. Secret word: funny - Recipe for Love is a standalone with new characters or can be read in conjunction with Love in the Headlines.

Fly: A Fable for Dreamers & the Friends Who Help Them Soar by Ben Mandrell from BHKids Publishing [Review & Giveaway]

Fly: A Fable for Dreamers and the Friends Who Help Them Soar by Ben Mandrell

ISBN: 9798384540014
Hardcover $14.99

My thoughts:
This is a beautifully readable story set in tongue-loving rhyme. I absolutely loved reading it aloud. The story is a make-believe tale of a pig who dreams of being able to fly; and as he dreams, he begins to work toward making that dream a reality. Of course, it all rhymes.

The beauty of this story is not just the dreaming or the rhyming or the work-ethic of making one's dreams a reality. It is the "twist" at the end when that behind the scenes flock of friends is revealed as the supporters of Pig as he dreams and tries to achieve.

This is truly a story to simply enjoy, and yet it is a story with a valuable life lesson that we succeed, we achieve, we soar with the support of our friends and loved ones who lift us up with helping hands. Though it is not stated exactly, but I sense a reference to the truth that we are lifted on the "wings of prayer."

The author and illustrator have delivered a charming, totally enjoyable, and friendship oriented story that I highly recommend for homes and libraries.

Listen to Granny GG Read an intro to FLY

About the book:  An inspiring fable on how friendship can fuel the biggest of dreams.

Full of dreams and gumption, Harold T. Pig knows he was made for more than his workshop. But when his wild ideas turn to the sky, he’ll need some surprising help for his dreams to take flight.

Harold’s story cheers on the dreamer in us all, but it’s also a reminder that our own stories have a supporting cast that deserves our applause and gratitude. Readers of all ages will be inspired to remember the friends who saw their God-given gifts, who helped them spread their wings and steadied their flights.

This charming board book about curious Little Nutbrown Hare and wise Big Nutbrown Hare will captivate babies and toddlers as it reinforces primary colors.

Guess How Much I Love You: Counting by Sam McBratney & illustrated by Anita Jeram

Deadly Secrets (Close Proximity #1) by Penny Zeller [Review]

ISBN: 9781957847573
E-book or Paperback

My review:
Every woman, no matter how "fit" she is, has a dreadful fear of being attacked. In Deadly Secrets the author takes our female protagonist through the fear and horror of a stalker, letters sent to antagonize and strike fear into her heart, a hired rough-you-up instigator, and other fear driving escapades. The male protagonist, who is the sweetheart detective on the case, is close at hand trying to find the scoundrel that is driving all this fear.

A pretty fast paced, driven story with good character development and descriptive scenes that drill the story into the mind's eye, Deadly Secrets is a strong faith based story where the lead characters are Christ loving Christians who depend on their loving God for direction and protection.

I highly recommend this book to all who are looking for a driven, Christian story where the bad guy is bad but there is no horrific language and gore. Where the good guy gets the bad guy in the end. And where the lovely lady is rescued.

This is a story adults will enjoy. It is one you can hand your teen to read; and one you can give your Grandmother to enjoy.

Apples for All: A Story About Grafting written & illustrated by Mary Peterson - Celebrate "Kid's Garden Month" - [Review & Giveaway]

Feeding Minds Press presents Apples for All: A Story About Grafting written and illustrated by Mary Peterson.

A family-filled picture book that teaches children about the science of grafting and apple growing.

ISBN: 9781948898201
Hardcover $18.99
Feeding Minds Press

My thoughts:
Most all of us have desired to plant an apple or orange or peach seed from a delicious piece of fruit we've eaten and grow our own delicious fruit. The same is true for young Bobbi - an active, curious, young farmer's daughter. She's enjoyed her apple and wants to grow more just like it!

She approaches her Grandpa on the family farm and asks him to help her plant her apple seed so she can grow her own apples and even make delicious applesauce. Grandpa proceeds to tell her that seeds don't usually grow into trees that bear the same type of fruit. He then shows her how to graft a branch onto another "basic" apple tree and get the type of apple she desires.

This is basic tree grafting and doesn't get into the genetics of plants and how to propagate new species, etc. It is simple grafting and growing. And it is such a sweet family story of gentle education and on-hand learning. Not everyone has the opportunity propagate their own fruit and grow it, but for those who do it surely gives a grand sense of accomplishment and a reaping of delicious benefits.

This is another of Feeding Minds Press children's books that I absolutely love.

About the book: Bobbi’s family loves apples! The only problem? They can’t agree on which type to grow! Gala? Granny Smith? McIntosh? When Bobbi discovers the solution – grafting – her family comes together to care for one very special tree. The result? Apples for all!

This children’s picture book, written and illustrated in the fun and colorful style of Mary Peterson, introduces young readers to the fascinating world of apples, apple trees, and the science of tree grafting.

Perfect for curious kids who love nature, gardening, and learning where food comes from, this STEM-aligned story makes a great classroom resource or gift for budding gardeners, scientists, and apple lovers! Filled with engaging facts about apples, tree grafting, and the heartwarming theme of compromise, APPLES FOR ALL! is not just a delightful read that will resonate with young readers, but also a valuable educational resource. Informational backmatter includes fun apple facts, an apple variety guide, and an applesauce recipe!
