PANA Soothe 1000 CBD & Arnica Salve - USA MADE PRODUCT [Review & Giveaway]

I am trying a product new to  me. It contains CBD hemp oil and Arnica and lots of essential oils and moisturizers. It's purpose is pain relief. As a member of the senior population, I have a variety of aches and pains and I don't really want to use those super strong opiates to get relief.

My hand has an ongoing on-again, off-again joint/tendon pain at the base of the thumb. Touching it, pressing it, moving it causes discomfort. Sometime to the "pain level" that I avoid using it. I was surprised that the PANA Soothe 1000 CBD Salve provided relief.

I also have back and leg pain emanating from nerves down the leg. I generously massaged the Pana CBD Salve onto my low back, leg, and even foot. The salve didn't help that time. I think the root of this pain is too deep and complex for a topical application.

Today, I was developing a migraine. I take a special migraine prescription but it wasn't giving the relief I needed and I feared the migraine would go full-blown.  I decided to experiment a bit. I massaged some of the PANA CBD Salve onto my temples and neck pulses. Within a few minutes I felt the pressure and ache in my head was getting less. Now 30 minutes later I have no feeling of a migraine. I am delighted.

Is this a "cure-all"? Absolutely not. But I do believe it has appropriate uses and as a topical is better for one's overall health to use it instead of ingesting pills for pain and discomfort relief.

Love Under Construction by Penny Zeller - a delightful contemporary read!

My thoughts:  I picked up this book to read following an especially dark period in my life. I needed a simple read, a light read, a fun read. That is exactly what I had in Love Under Construction.

The author pitted two delightful characters - a lady and a man - in an almost unbelievable plot where they are to inherit a set of twins - 3 year olds Max and Mia - and raise them. No these two adults are not friends and they are not married and they live separate lives. But they must cooperate and raise the twins.

What ensues is delightful. And the end result is a warm-fuzzy-feel-good ending that relaxes the reader and helps one cast their cares away for just a little while.

I highly recommend this clean, Christian read by Penny Zeller.

About the book: She builds websites. He builds houses. Together, can they build a home for two orphans?

Irelynn agreed two years ago to help raise her best friend’s twins should anything happen. When she is called upon to fulfill that agreement, there is only one problem—Irelynn must share the responsibility with the arrogant but handsome Quinton Gregory.

Quinton takes the role of raising his niece and nephew with all seriousness. He will do anything for the twins, even if it means putting up with the beautiful but stubborn Irelynn Brady.

When forced to be in each other’s presence far more often than is comfortable, things slowly begin to change. Will the unexpected attraction between Irelynn and Quinton become a love under construction?

Author Bio: Penny Zeller is known for her heartfelt stories of faith and her passion to impact lives for Christ through fiction. While she has had a love for writing since childhood, she began her adult writing career penning articles for national and regional publications on a wide variety of topics. Today Penny is a multi-published author of several inspirational books. She is also a homeschool mom and a fitness instructor.

When Penny is not dreaming up new characters, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters while camping, hiking, canoeing, reading, running, cycling, gardening, and playing volleyball. She is represented by Tamela Hancock Murray of the Steve Laube Agency and loves to hear from her readers at her www.pennyzeller.com and her blog, random thoughts from a day in the life of a wife, mom, and author, at www.pennyzeller.wordpress.com

Saving Mrs. Roosevelt (Heroines of WWII #3) by Candice Sue Patterson (from Barbour Publishing)

My thoughts:
The story opens in a small fishing town on the East coast of the United States close to Canada's border. It is 1942 and the world is embroiled in war. The small town has citizens whose origins are Germany which they left to seek the freedoms available in the US.

The focus is on Shirley Davenport who wishes to serve her country and enlists in a new branch of the military. When she arrives for training with her close friend, Joan, they meet other young ladies.

After their training they are sent to various posts and Shirley is sent back to her hometown where she'll function as a spy trying to root out German infiltrators that pose a danger to the war effort.

As the story progresses, a subplot also emerges that reveals the segregation of blacks and whites and the difficulties blacks had during that period of time. A dark period of history, to be sure.

The story also reveals the efforts of Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, to elevate women and minorities giving them rights and respect.

I found the story engaging to read and educational about some of the actions taken to protect the home front here in the United States during WWII.

About the book: The Safety of the First Lady Rests in Shirley’s Hands

Shirley Davenport is as much a patriot as her four brothers. She, too, wants to aid her country in the war efforts, but opportunities for women are limited. When her best friend Joan informs her that the Coast Guard has opened a new branch for single women, they both enlist in the SPARs, ready to help protect the home front.

A Heart Adrift by Laura Frantz

My thoughts:
The setting for this grand read takes this reader very close to my home roots - Coastal North Carolina. While a tad further up the coastline, the island and cities or villages of Virginia are much the same as my North Carolina beaches and historical city of Wilmington. So I felt very much at home in A Heart Adrift.

Having actually visited historic Williamsburg Virginia and walked the streets reconstructed to very much resemble the 1700s when Esmee lived and ran her chocolate shop, I can experience mentally her life during those uncertain times.

Having spent many days on the beach and living through raging hurricanes and seeing first-hand the terrible destruction they can cause, I can imagine how horrific it must have been when the tumultuous storm swept over their lighthouse island.

Historically, the time was ripe with breeding a strong continental backbone of naval and authority figures that would play major roles in American Independence soon to come though that was not afoot during this book. Seafaring, privateering, treasures were the order of the day during this time period; and A Heart Adrift had it characters cast into major roles of those that go to sea and those who stand and wait.

I totally enjoyed reading A Heart Adrift, and it proves again that a book by Laura Frantz is worth the wait. I highly recommend.

About the book: It is 1755, and the threat of war with France looms over colonial York, Virginia. Chocolatier Esmee Shaw is fighting her own battle of the heart. Having reached her twenty-eighth birthday, she is reconciled to life alone after a decade-old failed love affair from which she's never quite recovered. But she longs to find something worthwhile to do with her life.

Captain Henri Lennox has returned to port after a lengthy absence, intent on completing the lighthouse in the dangerous Chesapeake Bay, a dream he once shared with Esmee. But when the colonial government asks him to lead a secret naval expedition against the French, his future is plunged into uncertainty.

Will a war and a cache of regrets keep them apart, or can their shared vision and dedication to the colonial cause heal the wounds of the past? Bestselling and award-winning author Laura Frantz whisks you away to a time fraught with peril--on the sea and in the heart--in this redemptive, romantic story.
