Ozeri 4x3razor Digital Pocket 3D Pedometer with Bosch Tri-Axis Technology from Germany

Ozeri Razor Digital Pedometer
I was given the opportunity to examine and review a tiny device for measuring and tracking one's steps. But this little pedometer packs more into its tiny size than an ordinary pedometer. Read the product description below for details.

I have used pedometers in the past and the basic function of counting steps is usually their only function. So that is what I was looking at first and foremost. To begin with, I found that while the intention of Ozeri is to provide a lot of measuring and tracking information to their customers, it can be somewhat hard to find this information. Setting it up initially was a bit of a problem. I simply couldn't do it so I enlisted my son (a real savvy tech guy that is also an engineer). After checking it out and pushing all the little buttons, he got the calendar set and it shows steps in a 24 hour period. So when I use it it counts my steps for that day. The next day (24 hours later) it has reset itself and is ready to count my steps again.

I discovered a little problem and that is if it is in the car while I'm driving to the gym or to work, somehow it "counts steps." A minor flaw and I figure it is because it is super sensitive.

The Ozeri pedometer clips onto a pocket or waistband easily and sturdily. I've worn it while pedaling the exercise bike, walking the treadmill, and while doing housework or working at the office. Steps are counted and I can see I still need to get a lot more in each day. Kind of humbling to know that I have not done as much as I really should in exercising. But perhaps the Ozeri Razor Pedometer will give me that gentle reminder push I need.

Ozeri Deluxe Milk Frother and 12 oz Frothing Pitcher in Stainless Steel, with Extra Whisk Attachment {Review}

Oh my! Don't you just love getting some delicious cafe coffee from that special shop? You know a "St------s" or a "Cali---"! I do. But they are so very expensive and also you have to get out in the cold, drive to the shop, go in and order (unless you're a drive-by person). Well, that has its place and now you can "cafe coffee" right at home. Now you can whip and froth that warm or cold milk for your coffee or special drinks. Ozeri had just the nifty little frother to do this.

When I was given the opportunity to review this neat product, I jumped to do so. Yes, I can just see the family coffee lovers when they gather round our "home 'n hearth" making their own special drinks. Got to have some good milk on hand as well as some especially good coffee beans. We're just a bit snobbish about coffee in our clan.

Well, I didn't have much milk on hand when I decided to give this nifty toy a run but I wanted to do so NOW! So I put just a wee little bit in the frothing pitcher, poured my brewed coffee in the mug, whipped out that handy Ozeri Frother and zapped that little bit of milk into a bubbly and expanded milk froth. I can't wait to see what we (as a clan) can conjure up next time we're together. It promises to be so good!

Ozeri Precision Digital Bath Scale (400 Lbs Edition), In Tempered Glass With Step-on Activation {Review}

As you can see the bathroom scale
is thin and sleek
Model #ZB18-W
It's that time of year again! We indulged too much in those delightful seasonal goodies. Our clothes are a bit tighter. We need to step on the scales and identify our problem and the extent of it.

How nice to have a super sleek, basic bathroom scale on which to step and hope to tread lightly. Oops! Wasn't so light was it? (Well, that was a puny pun).

Anyway, I am delighted to present a great Ozeri product - the Ozeri Precision Digital Bath Scale (400 Lbs Edition), in Tempered Glass with Step-on Activation.  This is sleek and looks great in any setting.

I have the white scale, but it also comes in black (see image below).

This one won't break the budget (you already did that with Christmas purchases, right?). Amazon prices it at just over $14.

Note: Weighs up to 400 lbs.
Again, I have found Ozeri to bring good products to consumers. I recommend this as a good budget scale for the home. I think it looks great in the bathroom or bedroom. I do recommend that you place the scale on a hard surface (tile) rather than carpet for accurate readings.

Product features (from Amazon) include

  • New widescreen LCD provides immediate and easy to read results
  • Uses 4 high precision GX sensors to weigh up to 400 pounds (180 kilograms) in 0.2 pounds or 0.1 kg increments
  • Award-winning design features an oversized platform made of impact-resistant tempered glass.
  • Step-on Activation captures the precise weight measurements upon stepping on the scale (no tapping required)
  • Sturdy design features an oversized weighing platform with impact-resistant tempered glass
  • Convenient unit button switches between pounds, kg
  • Auto-calibrated and automatically turns off to conserve battery life.
  • Runs on 1 Lithium 2032 battery for better performance

Ozeri Artesio Electric Pepper Grinder

I've cooked for years using pepper already ground to season my food. Knowing that folks said grinding your own pepper assured better flavor (and you can even vary the texture and using various peppercorns). Little did I know! I am now a believer in freshly ground pepper to season food.

Ozeri makes life so easy and nice whether it is in health care products such as blood pressure monitors, bathroom scales, pedometers, electric fans, or electric pepper grinders. I am just delighted with each product I've reviewed for Ozeri.

This electric pepper grinder at first was a wee-bit daunting to this lady who is somewhat "builder" or "putter-together" challenged. But I did it. I opened it up and easily inserted the 4 batteries. Then I placed fresh peppercorns in the clear "bowl" of the grinder. After putting the 3 pieces back together, I tested it.

I found that I could adjust the grind for coarse or fine. A slight depression of the on button makes this one-handed operation easy to use.
The elegant design will look beautiful in any kitchen setting or you can easily use it when serving.  There is even a light that shines (much like a flashlight) while it is grinding so you can see the progress. This is an excellent feature if you're in a dimly lit area.

I am pleased to recommend this as an excellent product.

Turtlemeter - Bath Toy with Built-in Thermometer by Ozeri

I raised five wonderful children and bath time was always such a pleasant and joyful time. Kiddies love to splash, dip 'n pour, float boats and critters, and simply have a grand old time.

I remember running the bath water trying to be sure I didn't get it too hot or too cold for them. I know we swim in pools, the ocean, and ponds and the water is cold, but we watch our little ones that they don't get too chilled. In the bath, we test with our hand or our elbow to determine if it feels lukewarm to warm. But how many of us check the water while Johnny or Susie is splashing about to see if it has chilled down to where it might be too cold.

Our little ones depend on us to keep them clean, fed, clothed, happy, and comfortable.  This delightful Turtlemeter is a working-toy (I've just coined a phrase/word). It is adorable floating in the water and instantly registers the actual temperature of the water. Look at the pictures I took of it.
Blue indicates that the water temperature is too cold.
Green indicates that the temperature is just right.
Red indicates that the water is too hot.
I simply can not wait for our youngest family member to be able to go home from the NICU and have her mommy bathe her. When she is old enough to enjoy the Turtlemeter as a toy, I am sure it will become a favorite.

If you need a shower gift or something for that younger one in your life, I can recommend this as a fun, useful gift and I found it for $12.95 in several locations on the web.

About the product:

  • Introducing the "Turtlemeter," safe and fun for child and mom, a happy bath for your little one!
  • Instantly Activates in Water, Floats Naturally and Fully Submersible.
  • Fun and Safe Bath Toy that doubles as a Bath Thermometer.
  • Checks the bath Water temperature every second and display it in Fahrenheit on an easy-to-read LCD.
  • Display Water Temperature with 3 Screen Colors: Blue for Cold, Green for Just Right, and Red for Hot

Ozeri 360 Oscillation Tower Fan, with Micro-Blade Noise Reduction Technology (review)

The Ozeri 360 Tower Fan oscillates at 60, 90, 120, or 360 degrees for partial to complete air circulation with 3 whisper quiet speed settings. Utilizing advanced cylindrical motion technology with over 200 noise-reducing micro-blades, the 360 Tower Fan achieves remarkable airflow velocity while remaining impressively quiet. The 360 Tower fan offers 3 fan whisper quiet speed settings for customized airflow. It also features 3 preprogrammed airflow patterns designed to foster sleep, relaxation and comfort with up to 360 degree complete oscillation for timely relief on a sweltering summer day or for refreshing circulation all year long. The Ozeri 360 Tower Fan features an 8-hour timer that can be programmed in 30 minute increments with ease, and a multi-colored LCD that displays all fan functions and the room temperature.
My thoughts: I have had the pleasure of reviewing several products for the Ozeri folks and been delighted with the quality. They have provided this Ozeri 360 Oscillation Tower Fan for my review.

First of all I'd like to share a little history about our family. We live in North Carolina and it can get very, very hot in North Carolina in the summer. When raising our children, our home was not air conditioned and we had several fans we used to try to move the air providing some level of comfort on those hot days and nights. We jerry-rigged those fans to get optimum airflow and yet were still hot. There is no escaping the humidity and the heat of a North Carolina summer.

Eventually we were able to have our home air conditioned. Such a relief! And such a joy. However, we didn't get rid of all the fans. You see, we realized that sometimes you just need to help move the air a bit and fans do that job.

If tower fans were around back then, I was not aware. We had small, medium, and large fans that sat on tables, the floor, and were even propped in the open window. But I can see that a tower fan would have been a super improvement on what we had available to use especially had the fan had the options that the Ozeri 360 has.

I just came back from a walk (got to get some exercise) and although it was not even 9:30  a.m. when I began, it was hot. Well, it is North Carolina and we do "hot" very well; and it was also humid, which is another of North Carolina's attributes. So right now as I write this, I am sitting enjoying the cool air of the Ozeri 360 Oscillation Tower Fan. It feels so very good. Yes, I do have air conditioning, but I am also very hot right now. So yes! This fan is super nice to come home to.

I've played with the remote to change settings and airflow speed. By depressing the timer button, you increase the duration of the fan's operation in increments of 30 minutes. The thermostat feature is interesting. When it is engaged, the fan will select the proper speed setting to achieve the target room temperature and automatically turn on or off based on that setting. Interesting.

The fan is quiet. Nice. So much is nice about the fan! But reviews are suppose to point out the "cons" as well. So here goes..... I found it difficult to assemble the base, and so I called my son to come by and he did it quickly. So not a problem except for the "some assembly required handicapped (me)." My son had difficult getting the remote battery compartment to open, but that will probably be OK after the initial opening/shutting. The fan being a tower fan and just slightly wobbly, in spite of the broad foot, should be placed on a hard surface and/or watched carefully around children. Their active little bodies would not bode well for using this fan unless care is exercised.

Do I like it? Absolutely! I'm glad I was given this opportunity to review it. I think this is a keeper and one I can fully recommend.
