Review: This is quite a lamp/lantern. A terrific gadget to have along on an outdoors excursion or around the house for emergencies. It has a very bright light that will provide illumination for a good area.

The strobe feature is especially nice. It even is in SOS code. And the red light feature is nice if you're in an emergency - roadside, for example. The red light is in fixed mode or strobe as well (but not SOS mode).

The hangers on the end and the study flip up hanger are all especially nice. Constructed of stury, durable materials will make this lantern a lasting product for the user. Being waterproof makes it even more appealing for outdoors use. The on/off button lights up as well as being indicative of the status of the 3 "D" batteries required to operate the Lantern. If this terrific lantern has a down-side, in my opinion it would be that it runs solely on "D" batteries. If it included a solar cell as well, it would be virtually unstoppable.

 I showed this terrific lantern to my adult son who loves to hunt and fish and he is "wowed" by it. I think he just might be hinting for one to be wrapped for birthday or tucked under the Christmas tree next year. Or perhaps he is hinting that he'd like to have mine. Hmmm...., we'll have to see.
