Night Night, Zoo by Amy Parker & illustrated by Virginia Allyn from Thomas Nelson Pub. [Review & Giveaway]

My thoughts:  This is such a sweet board book with lightly padded cover. Cheerful zoo animals grace the pages in bright colors. They romp across the pages as they cheerfully procrastinate bedtime.

The short rhymes take the reader on a tour of the zoo at bedtime as each animal interacts with a parent guiding the young one toward sleepy time. Typical of a family with young children being tenderly guided to bed by parents.

Each two-page spread features a specific animal: lions, zebras, panda bears, etc. And there is a sign placed on each lower right-hand page directing the reader to the next animal on the tour. Children will have fun finding the two mice that are involved at each stop on the tour and seeing how the mice interact.

A lovely little book that ends with a "God is in control" reminder.

About the book: Night Night, Zoo pairs the fun, rhyming text from bestselling author Amy Parker with the award-winning artwork of Virginia Allyn to help your kids wish their favorite zoo animals "Night night!" From tuckered out elephants to dozing zebras, your little wild one will love the colorful art of cute animals settling in for bedtime. The zoo theme features fun and exciting illustrations of wild animals, inviting your children to say "Night night!" to each animal and to the loving God who made them.

Night Night, Zoo is the perfect bedtime book for anyone who already loves Amy Parker's award-winning Night Night, Farm and Night Night, Train.
