My thoughts:  Christy Ziglar has launched a terrific program for kids to help with issues they face. I previously reviewed Can't Wait Willow written by Christy Ziglar as part of the Star Bright Kids Program (and website). Now we're reviewing the freshly launched Must Have Marvin.

Marvin is a smart, cute, sweet boy that seems to have his priorities a bit skewed. If he sees it and likes it, he wants it. He must have it. He is "Must Have Marvin." Regardless of his friends and what they need of him. Help with a project. Help for his brother practicing his catching game. Marvin simply must pursue what he wants and when he wants it.

And then he begins to learn the lesson of wanting what he doesn't need and of friendship and caring for others.

The book is beautifully illustrated with expressions that capture the moment and actions that run the gamut. It is colorful and a delight to simply look at, and it will capture children's attention wonderfully reinforcing the text.

I can recommend Must Have Marvin as a teachable moments book that will delight.
