"Hush, Little Ones" by John Butler: Book Review & Giveaway: WINNER CHOSEN

This is a delightful board book designed for the very young child - ages 1 to 5.  It is perfect for young hands to hold, fondle, turn the pages, tote around the house, and sleep with.  Yes, I said sleep with.  Little ones who have this beautiful treasure of a book will want to cuddle up with the book as well as their own treasured stuffed animal.

As we open the book, we find mama bird settling her little ones down for the night.

Hush, little ones, you sleepyheads,
Warm and safe in your own special beds.

Turn page after page and find beautifully drawn pictures of mother and father animals as they gather their little ones and gently nudge them into a sleepy mode for the evening's rest time.  Bunnies, monkeys, bears, lions, penguins all have a special, gentle way that they lull their little ones to sleep and gather them to safety.

Hush, little zebra, you'll be dozing soon,
By the light of the stars and the silvery moon.
